Sweet Dreams

What lives in the space between nightmare and waking? Sweet Dreams examines sleep paralysis, night terrors and the feeling of an unseen visitor holding the body still while the mind remains awake.

Created by Hampus Danielsson and Emily Rault, the series grew from their different explanations for childhood night terrors: one scientific, the other supernatural. The photographs give form to the fear shared by both.
